About
Hancock is the only independent, nonsectarian PreK-eighth grade school in the Savannah area. We serve 450 students and remain committed to our founding principles.
Hancock is a nonsectarian and faith-inclusive community that recognizes the importance of spiritual development for our students, faculty, staff, and families. Our Judeo-Christian principles are the foundation of The Hancock Way and provide a moral foundation that honors the dignity of all people, the importance of integrity, and a call to serve others. We open school gatherings and the start of each day with the Pledge of Allegiance and the non-denominational Hancock prayer that invokes God’s name.
We help our students build bright futures through high-quality instruction on academic fundamentals in a nurturing, values-driven environment. At Hancock, we refer to the values that shape our curriculum and suffuse all aspects of the Hancock experience as The Hancock Way.

These values are more than words—they shape our daily interactions, decisions, and aspirations. From the classroom to the playground, and in academics and extracurriculars, The Hancock Way encourages students and faculty to lead with character, learn with vigor, and contribute with heart.
